Morning Find Sketches
Morning Find Sketches are my regular watercolor practice—a place to slow down, pay attention, and preserve the moments, places, and objects that stay with me.
Some begin with something I've found close to home: flowers on the table, a favorite book, a quiet corner of a room, or a view from my travels. Together, they become a visual journal of observations and memories.
Many of these sketches remain complete in their small 5 x 7-inch scale, while others become the foundation for larger 22 × 30-inch watercolors. Returning to a sketch allows me to expand on the atmosphere, memory, and emotional resonance that first emerged in those early washes of color. Whether they remain intimate studies or grow into larger paintings, each sketch marks the beginning of an idea.

How to Collect
Each month's Morning Find collection is released on the final day of the month and includes a selection of one-of-a-kind 5 × 7 inch watercolor sketches. Occasionally, the release also features larger 22 × 30 inch watercolor paintings inspired by ideas first explored in the Morning Find Sketches.
Account subscribers receive early access beginning at 2:00 pm CT. During this exclusive preview, visitors to this page will be prompted to enter their email address to view and purchase the available works.
At 3:00 pm CT, the collection opens to everyone.
Each Morning Find Sketch is an original watercolor on paper and is one of a kind. The larger 22 × 30 inch watercolors are also original, one-of-a-kind works.
