These Morning Find sketches were inspired by the feeling of summer—sunlight reflecting on the water, striped umbrellas casting cool shade, and the invitation to linger outdoors a little longer. These paintings explore the kind of scenes that evoke rest, warmth, and the quiet pleasure of a summer afternoon.
My Morning Find practice is rooted in slowing down and noticing the beauty in ordinary moments. I create a small watercolor most mornings as a gentle way to enter my studio, allowing these fleeting observations to become the starting point for larger paintings and new ideas.
Each sketch is an original watercolor, initialed on the front and signed and dated on the back.
