This month’s Morning Finds grew from things that caught my eye throughout the month—flowers from the garden, favorite corners and objects, open windows, and glimpses of the landscape beyond. Some are close to home, while others come from places and moments I wanted to revisit through paint.
My Morning Find practice is rooted in slowing down and noticing the beauty in ordinary moments. I create a small watercolor most mornings as a gentle way to enter my studio, allowing these observations to become starting points for larger paintings, new ideas, or simply a record of something I wanted to remember.
Each sketch is an original watercolor, initialed on the front and signed and dated on the back.
