A Place to Pause was inspired by an afternoon in Paris when my daughter and I sat together in the green chairs of the Tuileries Garden, looking across the water and simply taking in the moment. There was nothing remarkable happening—just the quiet rhythm of the fountain, shifting reflections, and the gift of having nowhere else to be.

Back in my Tennessee studio, I returned to that memory and allowed the watercolor to become less about a particular place and more about the feeling it left behind—a reminder that some of life's most meaningful moments are the quiet ones where we pause, notice, and simply enjoy being present.

This is a one-of-a-kind, original watercolor on 22 × 30-inch paper with deckle edges. It is signed on the front and signed and dated on the back.
